SUMMARY:Take The A-Train Festival with EXIT VOID\, Matthew Herbert\, vierundvierzig
DESCRIPTION:EXIT VOID is not a traditional ensemble\, but rather an open collective—multifaceted in sound and conceptually situated at the intersection of improvisation\, sound art\, and musical performance. Emerging from a collaborative project to create a soundtrack for a video installation\, EXIT VOID brings together a group of distinguished musicians and artists who shape electronic and acoustic soundscapes into a striking audiovisual sculpture. \nAnja Plaschg – voice\, electronics\nDavid Reumüller – drums\, electronics\nAlex Kranabetter – trumpet\, electronics\nWolfgang Lehmann – guitar\, electronics\nManfred Engelmayr – guitar Katrin Euller – electronics\n— \nWith theukhasmorefoodbanksthanbranchesofmcdonalds.com\, Matthew Herbert presents his first solo album since *The Horse* (2023). For this new project\, the British electronic music pioneer incorporates sounds from items that are particularly in demand at British food banks—including tin cans\, packaging\, bottles\, soap\, and rice. The project is inspired by the fact that there are now more food banks in the United Kingdom than McDonald’s locations. Musically\, Herbert builds on his electronic work as Wishmountain and Radio Boy\, combining sociopolitical themes with experimental\, club-oriented music. The album is scheduled for release in late summer 2026. With his new live program\, one of the most influential artists in contemporary electronic music will be performing at the Take The A-Train Festival.\n— \nFollowing Matthew Herbert\, the residents of the Salzburg-based club Klubkulturklub vierundvierzig will take over the Night Train and bring their long-standing exploration of electronic music and vinyl culture to the dance floor. Since 2010\, the club has been dedicated to the ongoing development of contemporary club music\, combining artistic quality with sustainable cultural work aimed at fostering the scene over the long term. The Night Train thus becomes an extension of the evening\, carried by carefully crafted sets and a keen sense of atmosphere and sound. \nSeperate Night Train Tickets available at the door after the concerts!

SUMMARY:Take The A-Train Festival with Martyn\, Katharina Ernst\, Joe Armon-Jones
DESCRIPTION:Austrian-Malaysian artist Katharina Ernst is one of the most exciting artists working at the intersection of music\, performance\, and visual art. Using the drums as her starting point\, she develops multi-layered soundscapes in which polyrhythms\, electronic sounds\, and performative elements merge into a unique artistic language. With EXTRAMETRIC II\, Ernst presents the next evolution of her acclaimed solo project. The new work combines acoustic drums with electronic sound sources\, voice\, and text to create hypnotic rhythmic compositions that are performed entirely live. The seven pieces unfold as dense\, cinematic sonic journeys that oscillate between precision\, energy\, and experimentation.\n— \nJoe Armon-Jones is a keyboardist\, producer\, and composer from South London. As a founding member of the Ezra Collective and a graduate of the Tomorrow’s Warriors talent development program\, he belongs to a generation of British musicians who blend jazz with influences from dub\, hip-hop\, soul\, and electronic music. In his solo work\, Armon-Jones pursues an open-ended musical approach that spans improvisation\, production\, and club culture. His debut album\, *Starting Today* (2018)\, already drew attention to his distinctive style. This was followed by releases such as *Turn To Clear View*\, works on his own label\, Aquarii Records\, and collaborations with artists like Mala and Maxwell Owin. In 2025\, he released *All The Quiet*\, his most comprehensive project to date. The two-part release brings together the various facets of his work and showcases a musician who deliberately keeps stylistic boundaries fluid. At the Take The A-Train Festival\, Joe Armon-Jones will present contemporary music that blends jazz\, groove\, electronic influences\, and improvisational openness.\n— \nDutch producer\, DJ\, and label owner Martijn Deijkers—also known as Martyn—has been navigating the worlds of bass music\, techno\, dub\, and jazz since the 1990s. His musical roots lie in the hybrid soundscapes of British club culture\, which he has expanded over the years to incorporate numerous influences. Today\, Martyn is active not only as a producer and DJ\, but also as an author\, mentor\, and champion of a new generation of electronic musicians. Together with artist Jeroen Erosie\, he founded the label 3024 in 2007\, which has evolved into a platform for innovative electronic music. Over the years\, the label has released works by artists such as Jacques Greene\, Leon Vynehall\, Steffi\, and Martyn himself\, as well as collaborations with The Spaceape and Om Unit. More recently\, the focus has increasingly shifted toward emerging voices in international club music. \nSeparate Night Train Tickets in limited amount available. \n
